Since news first spread about the coronavirus pandemic, we have been working hard to provide our usual valued service to members.
In these difficult times, credit unions like ours are stepping in to help communities more than ever and, while we are encouraging people not to come into our office to reduce the risk of infection, our online services are quick and easy to use and are available 24/7.
Chief Executive Martin Groombridge said: “We are working hard to provide the same level of service to our members, whether that is processing loan applications or savings withdrawals, and we are raising awareness of our online and telephone channels to help people access the money they need.
“We are also committed to communicating with our members and providing them with the financial help and advice that they may need at this stressful time. We are urging people to get in touch if they need to discuss their financial situation.”
The Credit Union is also playing its part in helping the wider community and recently donated several hundred bags to a local community centre running food parcels to shielded older people.
Martin Groombridge added: “We’re so proud of our staff keeping our services to members going in such difficult circumstances and we’re always here for new – and existing – members when you need us.
“We would urge everyone to let their friends, family and contacts know about us too, as many others may be struggling with money worries and not know where to turn. We’re here to support our local community.”
