This year, for the first time ever, we will be holding our Annual General Meeting online and our members are invited to join us.
As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, we our holding our 2021 AGM online on Thursday 25 March at 5.30pm. The meeting will last for one hour and all members of the Credit Union who have the minimum £1 share balance are welcome to join in.
As a co-operative, we are owned and controlled by our members, and not by outside shareholders, so our AGM is a great opportunity to find more about your credit union, to meet the people who run it on your behalf and to have your say.
The AGM will review the Directors’ report for the 2019-20 financial year and update members on the Credit Union’s progress over the last 12 months. There will also be votes on a number of matters, including the election of officers, and the dividend and rebate of interest for 2019-20 will be announced.
The agenda for the meeting is available here and our annual report and other documents will be posted on the same page when they become available.
Credit Union Chief Executive Martin Groombridge said: “The last year has of course been a challenge for everyone, but I am pleased that the Credit Union has been able to adapt to changing circumstances.
“If you haven’t been to one of our AGMs before, please do think about joining us online this time – from the comfort of your own home – to find out how things are going and how the credit union plans to develop in future.
“It might not be quite the same as our usual meetings, but at least this time you don’t need to put on your shoes and coat and venture out on a cold evening!”
