The Money and Pensions Service recently launched MoneyHelper, a one stop shop for financial wellbeing in the UK.
Bringing together three organisations in one place – Money Advice Service, The Pensions Advisory Service and Pension Wise – MoneyHelper is for anyone who wants to manage their money better but doesn’t know where to start. It aims to help people improve their financial wellbeing and to help guide them through life’s trickier circumstances and changes.The new MoneyHelper website contains plenty of useful guides covering topics such as debt, mortgages, borrowing and savings. It also has handy tools and calculators such as a Budget Planner and Money Navigator tool.
In addition, MoneyHelper has trained and dedicated people who are happy to help those who prefer to talk to someone. For free and impartial money guidance, call 0800 138 7777 and for pensions guidance call 0800 011 3797. There are also plenty of other ways to get in touch, such as via WhatsApp, webchat or by using their online web form.
All of the content and money and pensions guidance services are completely free of charge and MoneyHelper also signposts people to hundreds of free, impartial and confidential debt advice services with their Debt Advice Locator tool.

MoneyHelper is an arm’s-length body sponsored by the Department for Work and Pensions and funded by levies on both the financial services industry and pension schemes. It also engages with HM Treasury on policy matters relating to financial capability and debt advice.
