Virtual AGM 2022 – Credit Union members invited!

Once again, this year, we’re holding our Annual General Meeting online and our members are invited to join us on Thursday 10 February at 6pm.

The meeting, which is open to all members of the Credit Union who have the minimum £1 share balance, will last for one hour and will provide an opportunity to hear about our success in helping people clear expensive debts and save for the future.

As a co-operative, we are owned and controlled by our members, and not by outside shareholders, so our AGM is a great chance to find out more about what we do, to meet the people who run the business on your behalf, and to participate in the democratic processes of the Credit Union.

The AGM will review the Directors’ report for the 2020-21 financial year and update members on the Credit Union’s progress over the last 12 months. There will also be votes on a number of matters, including the election of officers, and the dividend and rebate of interest for 2020-21 will be announced.

The agenda for the meeting, as well as our annual report and other relevant documents, are available to view and download here.

Save the date: Thursday 10 February, 6pm – 7pm

Credit Union Secretary Don Kehoe said: “We really wanted to hold a face to face AGM this year, but again due to the virus, we will be holding our meeting virtually.

While it might not be quite the same as meeting in person, it’s a safe and effective way of communicating with our members about the work we do, and for getting members’ feedback in return. Our virtual AGM was really well attended last year, so we’re looking forward to welcoming many of our members once again this year.

“We do hope you’ll be able to join us – just grab a coffee, open up your laptop and log in!”
