With new measures being introduced by the Government to curb the spread of coronavirus, we’re reminding our members to think carefully about whether they need to come into the Credit Union office.
It’s highly likely these days that most of the things you need to do with us can be done online through the Members’ Secure Area of our website or via our app for mobile devices.
The Members’ Secure Area is available 24/7 and, if you’re 18 or over and we have your proof of identity and address on record with a valid email address, you can get full online account access by registering here. You can then log in whenever you want, via the ‘Log In’ button in the top right hand corner of our website, using your membership number and security password.
You can use the Members’ Secure Area to view your accounts and balances, view a list of application forms, leaflets and annual reports, which are available to download and print, view transactions, calculate loan repayments and update your profile settings.
Through the ‘Online Forms’ section of the Members’ Secure Area, you can apply for a Credit Union loan, make a share withdrawal (take money from your account), fill in an application for BACS facility (details of your linked bank account) or set up a payroll deduction order online.
Our mobile app for Android and Apple IoS systems is available to download free of charge, just search for London Capital Credit Union in your app store. The app allows you to check the current balance of your share and loan accounts, view up to six months’ worth of transactions and request share transfers to your bank account.
One of the other benefits of the app for mobile devices is that, as most smartphones use fingerprint recognition, you can access your account without having to remember those easily forgotten passwords and PIN numbers.
If we have your mobile phone registered with us, you can also get your membership number and account balances by texting the word ‘MyBalance’ to 60060.
If you do need to visit the Credit Union, you will need to phone or email us first to book an appointment, as we are now working on an appointment only basis to help prevent the spread of coronavirus. Visits are limited to 15 minute appointments from Monday to Friday 9am to 4.45pm, with a maximum of two visitors at a time.
