Meet the staff – Cristina De Sousa
Cristina De Sousa is a Member Services & Support Officer at the Credit Union.
Cristina lives in south Islington, having come to the UK 21 years ago to improve her English, and experience our way of life. Born in Madeira, she describes the Portuguese islands as the ‘Pearl of the Atlantic’.
Like most of our paid staff, Cristina’s first involvement with credit unions was as a volunteer in east London, then taking a paid position with another credit union in south London, before she joined us in late 2019 as a Member Services & Support Officer.
We asked Cristina what she likes most about her work and she said: “I like the way we help people take control of their money. Manage it in a way that lets so many people achieve their dreams.”
